A busy week in blue class!
We have had a busy week and have done lots of great work.
In art we finished our animal prints and put them together with our trees and background to make our fantastic rainforest. You can see our rainforest on blue class' work of the week at www.gatewayprimary.co.uk
We have been learning about money in numeracy and are getting really good at working out how much things cost. We have even used money in our new toy shop home corner so we are getting lots of practise!
In literacy we have been learning about how to write and follow instructions. We have made our own finger puppets and jigsaws from reading the instructions and can't wait to play with them.
Well done to Tahir and Safiyah for being our golden children this week! Tahir did some great work in art and Safiyah has been sitting beautifully on the carpet all week and has been doing great listening.

Congratulations to Alaa's family!
Congratulations to Alaa's family who have had a new arrival of baby Rakan. As you can see, Rakan is a very cute baby boy and Alaa and her sisters Rayan and Shahad are very proud of him. They love to give him cuddles when they finish school for the day! Thankyou for showing us your special picture Alaa.

Our class rainforest!
This week in art we have been looking at the artist Frank Stella. We have looked at lots of his colourful paintings and learnt all about the Brazilian rainforest which he loved to paint. We are having a go at making a big class collage of the rainforest based on Frank Stella's paintings. This week each group worked on a different part of the rainforest like trees and plants and next week we are going to begin the animals.

Our Library Trip
Today blue class visited Church Street Library.
We walked there from the school and had to make sure we were all wrapped up as it was cold!
When we got there we were read 2 stories. We really liked the first story all about a boy who had square eyes becasue he watched too much television!
Then we were allowed to choose 2 books each. We can't wait to take them home and read them with our families.

Golden Awards
Well done to Tahmid and Neamul who received this weeks golden awards!
